L’Histoire de Ciudad Real a débuté le 20 février 1255, lorsque le roi de Castille et Leon Alfonso X a donné Carta Puebla à une petite village appelé Pozuelo de Don Gil.
Le projet était d’avoir un centre commercial et administratif de la Couronne au milieu des territoires aux puissantes Ordres Militaires.

The History of Ciudad Real began on February 20, 1255, when the King of Castile and Leon Alfonso X gave Carta Puebla to a village called Pozuelo de Don Gil.
